Majlis Perbandaran Kuantan (MPK) ,Dominates the system was implemented locally in Kuantan on the 1st August 1913,with the establishment of Kuantan Sanitary Board in charge of sanitation ,health and development control,At this time the actual area of the administration area is 2.065 square Kilometers module which includes District of Kuala Kuantan ,Kuantan Ulu District ,River District, District Berserah and coral, These areas generally cover 10% of the actual area of Kuantan District 2.453 sq KM (1,410.4 square Miles)
