Majlis Daerah Kubang Pasu, in the year 1989 , the Kubang Pasu District Local Authority Council has been change its name to the Kubang Pasu District Council as have been approved under section 3 ,The Local Government Act 1976 (ACT 171) ,The Kubang Pasu District is situated to the up north the State of Kedah Darul Aman ,It is boundary with the country ,Thailand to the north ,the Padang Terap District to the east ,the Alor Star District to south and the state of Perlis Indera Kayangan and the Malacca Straits to the west .The width of the district of Kubang Pasu is about 94,596 hectare ( 945 .971 km square feet ) Almost all the land of the district of Kubang Pasu has a flat surface with a little bit of hilly area at the east ,Abaout 35 % (33,773 hectare) of the land in the disdistrict of Kubang Pasu is under the area of MADA ,whereas (65 %) is outside of the area of MADA there ae 21 areas in the district of Kubang Pasu.
