With the establishment of Bank Simpanan Nasional, a newchapter is opened in the history of public saving institutions in the country.Bank Simpanan Nasional Act, 1974 provides for the transfer of the powers ofmanagement from the Postal Services Department to the Board of Directors whichwill assume functions and undertake responsibilities in accordance with theobjectives of the Act.
BSN has progressed significantlysince as a statutory body under the Ministry of Finance in 1974. To date, BSN’scustomer base of 9 million is serviced by 5,000 employees in over 383 branchesnationwide.
